
The Music!
The longtime friendship of 3 professionals- two musicians and a singer, gave birth to this outstanding musical. Carmine Lombardo met Rio when Rio and Dorayne shared the same manager in their musical careers.
Rio Clemente, a Julliard trained master pianist mixes his strong classical background with a rich knowledge of jazz history, which characterizes him as something very special and unequaled to his craft and performances. As a member of BMI, he won a scholarship to Lehman Engel Musical Theatre workshop. He was a staff writer for Southern Music NYC and has written music for 4 musicals plus hundreds of songs with many hits to his credit.
Carmine Lombardo, author of the book and lyrics began his writing career at age 16. To date he has 11 children's books and 7 musicals. He has collaborated in writing over 800 songs, many of which have been published and became hits. A member of BMI, he won a scholarship to the Lehman Musical Workshop. Carmine was a staff writer for Southern Music and Fred Fisher Music, NYC. He spent 13 years in Nashville, collaborating with many famous country writers. His is a member of the Dramatist Guild of America, The Authors' League, Theatrical Resources Unlimited and Peace River Center for Writers.
Dorayne Lombardo, wife of Carmine, is a professional singer as well as a gifted artist, who influenced the visual elements of the project, as well as contributing additional lyrics and music. Her career allowed her to "roadtest" many musical numbers soon after they were created.
